Let Us Guide You
Enjoy guided tours of the San Antonio Botanical Garden (based on guide availability). One docent will accompany every 10 people.
- Tours last 60 – 90 minutes.
- Tours meet behind the admissions kiosk.
- Tours are all outdoors.
- Please wear appropriate clothing. It’s highly recommended you bring a hat, sunscreen, and water bottle.
Unless otherwise requested, tours will be a general overview of the Garden.
Based on guide availability, tours may be themed. Common themes include: Exhibition, Native Plants, Sustainability of the Garden, or Conservatory. Additional themes may be available. If a docent is not available, you will be notified at least 96 hours prior to your visit. At that time you may choose a self-guided tour or cancel your reservation.

- One guide per 10 guests.
- Masks are required at all times for guests and guides.
- Booking a guide requires 2 weeks’ notice.
Guided Tour Fees
If a guide is not available, you are still encouraged to visit and explore the Botanical Garden at your own pace. Groups should schedule self-guided visits so that staff know when to expect your group and can communicate any changes which might affect your visit (parking, construction, etc.).
Payment via a single transaction is accepted at the admissions kiosk.
Monday - Thursday $16 per adult
$13 per child
Friday - Sunday $18 per adult
$15 per child
Group of 15 or More $15 per adult
$5 per child
Monthly guided tours available by registration including Sustainability (first Friday), Native Plants (first Saturday), WaterSaver Walk (third Thursday), Texas Bird Walk (third Saturday), and Ethnobotany of Native Plants (fourth Thursday).
